Robert Gilderdale

Robert Gilderdale was born in 1743 at Thorne in Yorkshire. He married Ann Howard in 1770 at Thorne and they had 9 children. His wife died in 1788 at Thorne. He was a master mariner who drowned. His son Joseph was sole executor in his will dated December 1794, but he died in 1798 and a committee was appointed to manage his sons affairs. It looks like Robert may have remarried to Mary Townrow in 1790.
